Alumni

All graduates are eligible to become members of the Alumni Association and are invited to CPD events, can ask us to advertise job opportunities to graduates and use BCOM or ESO’s library facilities.

We also encourage our alumni to promote Osteopathy as a career choice to create and inspire the next generation of Osteopaths.

Our relationship doesn’t end with the graduation ceremony

We offer an online community group for all our graduates where tutors and staff can answer questions and provide support. We also have a mentoring scheme which includes training sessions, for example, bookkeeping. We share continuous, professional development (CPD) opportunities with our graduates, many of which can be accessed at low cost.

For more information please contact Helder Pinto.

You can also consider joining a regional group when you graduate to get to know local colleagues, find associate positions and access local CPD events. There are more than 30 groups around the UK. To find your local group login to the members section of the GOsC website here.

BCOM & ESO Alumni:                            We need you to promote Osteopathy as a career choice and inspire the next generation of Osteopaths!

You can inspire the next generation of Osteopaths.

The BCNO Group is actively working with others to raise the profile of Osteopathy and inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals. We are keen to work with members of our Alumni to introduce Osteopathy and the BCNO Group to a wider audience.

We have a good relationship with local schools and careers advisers and invitations to events increase year-on-year. Faculty members are already supporting our work and we are keen to recruit members of Alumni to help meet demand across the UK and beyond.

Osteopaths are passionate about being Osteopaths and that really comes across when they talk about their chosen careers. Not only does this inspire people to want to join the profession, but it also produces tangible benefits for the osteopaths themselves, raising their standing in the community and introducing osteopathic healthcare to a broader range of patients.

networking

Events generally involve talking to young people and their teachers at careers stands – about Osteopathy, life as an Osteopath, their experience of campus life, plus general advice about the application process. There may also be opportunities to provide talks/workshops.

Guidance notes and display/marketing materials can be provided by us. We also have a presentation, careers leaflet and videos about Osteopathy on this careers information page.

If you would like to get involved in attending careers fairs or even have a poster and leaflet to display in your Clinic to promote studying Osteopathy, please contact us at marketing@bcnogroup.ac.uk
