Caroline Easter presents research at iO Convention

Our Osteopathic Skills Lecturing Assistant Caroline Easter recently attended the Institute of Osteopathy’s 2023 Convention today to present a poster on whether Osteopaths consider it part of their role to provide lifestyle modifications and exercise advice.

Her research found that out of the 327 Osteopaths surveyed, more than 33% engage in an exercise consultation with ‘all’ or ‘most’ of their patients. Over 90% of respondents engage in an exercise consultation ‘to some degree’.

The study concluded that further investigation be carried out in relation to the provision of exercise consultation training in osteopathic education.
