As part of National Volunteers Week, the Mayor of Maidstone, Councillor Gordon Newton of Maidstone Borough Council visited ESO to thank Rebecca Mackay for volunteering at the Balance and Stability class every Monday and present her with a certificate.
Commenting Jane Hobden, the class instructor said, “Rebecca has been a volunteer for this class for over six years and has a great knowledge of the exercises taught and always turns up early to help and is the last to leave. She makes sure everyone feels included and welcome. I am indebted to Rebecca for her assistance and she thoroughly deserves this recognition as a volunteer.”
The Balance and Stability class focuses on balance for anyone recovering from stroke, or who has Parkinson’s or for those with a balance disorder or a history of falls.
